June 17th, 2006, will be the first annual Iron Lion Safari. This will be a PDGA sanctioned C-tier event and will be held at Richmond Hills Park in Geneseo, Illinois. There will be two rounds of at least 18 holes, followed by a Final 9 Safari for the top 4 Open and Advanced players-men, women, women and masters. You can pre register by stopping in the store or by mailing in your entry.. "Day of" Registration will take place from 7:30 to 8:30 with an additional $2 fee.

Chase Roberts of Iron Lion Disc Golf Supply will be the primary sponsor for this new tourney, and is very excited about the opportunity to promote disc golf as well as letting players know about his great new disc golf outlet in our area, the IRON LION DISC GOLF SUPPLY. Chase is an avid disc golfer who has been playing the sport now for seven years. Chase has participated in countless tournaments and has a great amount of knowledge to share with both new disc golfers and more experienced players alike. Located in Moline on 16th street, between The Avenue of the Cities and Prospect Park, his new store is the first of it's kind here in the Quad Cities and helps fill a niche in the disc golf equipment scene. His store carries a wide selection of discs; from the pre-packaged sets for beginners to the more expensive exclusive discs that appeal more to the disc "collectors". You can also find many of the much needed accessories, such as bags, chairs, Tee-shirts, and more. If he doesn't have it, he will be ready to order it for you if possible. Chase is also a member of the Quad Cities Disc Golf Club, and helps out by allowing disc golfers to apply for membership to the club through his store.
