Butterworth Park in East Moline will see work done starting Tuesday, June 9th. The pond is being dredged and deepened, so the baskets for hole numbers 3,4 & 5 will be removed. The work will take approximately three weeks. |
Over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, two baskets were stolen from Middle Park disc golf course in Bettendorf, Iowa.
The baskets were taken from holes two and six. The missing baskets are very distinct, with a bright orange powder coating that is unique to this course. Unfortunately for local disc golfers who enjoy playing this course, it may be some time before the baskets can be replaced. Because the baskets have the special orange color, they are considered a special order and the DGA needs a minimum of twenty baskets requested before they will make another batch. So we will have to wait until other orders come in beefore we get our two replacement baskets. If anyone has information about the whereabouts of these baskets contact the Bettendorf Police department. |
